Helpful Tips

How to Prepare Your Scrap for the Best Price

1

Keep paper dry

Wet paper weighs more but sells for less. Store newspapers and cartons in a dry place.

2

Separate by type

Keep paper, plastic, metal and e-waste in separate bags or boxes to speed up weighing.

3

Flatten cartons

Flatten cardboard boxes and tie them in bundles so they are easy to carry and count.

4

Empty & rinse bottles

Remove liquids and caps from bottles. Clean plastic fetches a better rate.

5

Wipe your devices

Back up and factory-reset phones and laptops before handing them over.

6

Keep metals clean

Remove plastic, rubber or wood attached to metal items where possible.
